AJF Creator Arts Olympiad

Awards, Recognition & Evaluation Policy

At the Art Journal Foundation (AJF), we believe that recognition should celebrate excellence, originality, and creative thinking, rather than merely participation or competition. The following policy governs the evaluation process and the conferment of awards for the AJF Creator Arts Olympiad.
1. Merit-Based Recognition
All awards, medals, certificates, and recognitions are conferred solely on the basis of merit, as determined by the judging panel. Participation in the Olympiad or meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not automatically guarantee an award.
2. Minimum Quality Standards
Each award category is subject to a minimum standard of artistic quality, creativity, originality, technical execution, and alignment with the assessment criteria. If the required benchmark is not achieved, AJF reserves the right to withhold any award or recognition in that category.
3. Participation-Based Award Structure
The number and type of awards presented may vary depending on the number of participants within a grade level, category, country, region, or competition stage. AJF reserves the right to modify the award structure to ensure fairness and uphold the integrity and prestige of the Olympiad.
4. Category Consolidation
Where participation in a particular grade, category, region, or country is limited, AJF may, at its sole discretion, combine categories or revise the evaluation and recognition structure to ensure equitable competition.
5. Right to Withhold Awards
AJF is under no obligation to confer every award category each year. If, in the opinion of the judging panel, the submissions do not meet the expected standards of excellence, originality, or creativity, one or more awards may be withheld.
6. Special Recognitions
In addition to the announced awards, the judging panel may confer Special Jury Awards, Honorable Mentions, Merit Awards, or other recognitions for exceptional creativity, innovation, artistic expression, or originality.
7. Certificates
All eligible participants who successfully complete the Olympiad will receive an official AJF Participation Certificate. Award recipients will additionally receive the relevant certificates, medals, trophies, or other recognitions as determined by AJF.
8. Finality of Judging
All entries are evaluated by an independent panel of qualified educators, artists, designers, and creative professionals using the published assessment criteria. The decisions of the judges and the AJF Academic Board are final and binding. No requests for re-evaluation, review, or appeal will be entertained.
9. Modification of Awards
AJF reserves the right to introduce, revise, merge, discontinue, or rename award categories, recognitions, scholarships, or prizes based on participation levels, judging outcomes, sponsorships, operational requirements, or other organisational considerations.
10. Organiser's Rights
AJF reserves the right to interpret, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any stage of the Olympiad where necessary to ensure fairness, transparency, operational feasibility, and the continued reputation of the competition. Any such decisions shall be final.
Important Note
The AJF Creator Arts Olympiad is committed to recognising creative excellence rather than maintaining a predetermined number of winners. Awards are not quota-based and are conferred only when participants demonstrate the standards of creativity, originality, artistic thinking, and technical competence established by the judging panel.

Accordingly, depending on the quality of submissions and the level of participation, there may be instances where:
  • Multiple participants receive the same level of recognition;
  • Certain award categories are not conferred;
  • Additional Jury Commendations or Special Awards are introduced; or
  • The award structure is modified to preserve the credibility, fairness, and international standards of the Olympiad.
Participation in the Olympiad signifies acceptance of these terms and the evaluation framework established by the Art Journal Foundation.
